TCS Agrees UK Distribution Deal With Hohner
Finishing equipment specialist Terry Cooper Services (TCS) has expanded its portfolio of solutions following its agreement with Hohner UK Ltd to distribute Hohner systems, including the Foldnak range, throughout the UK.
“To remain competitive in the market place, customers are increasingly looking to expand their capabilities to offer a wide range of finishing services,” states Terry Cooper Services Managing Director Chris Cooper. “When they are making that step to bring an operation in-house they want to not only be confident that they make the right investment choice, but also to be supported by the right manufacturer. Hohner produce an excellent portfolio of high quality, easy to use and affordable solutions, especially now since the introduction of the Foldnak marque. We are very much looking forward to helping our customers become more competitive in the most cost effective way.”
Flagship Foldnak products to be represented by TCS will include the Foldnak Compact that combines the functions of a centralised bookletmaker and foredge trimmer in a single small footprint unit. The most popular feature of this unit is its capability of producing A4 Landscape booklets. Reliability is a given as it is based on the hugely successful Foldnak 8 bookletmaker. There is also the 1,500 bph Foldnak 40 model that can handle from A5 up to SRA3, complimented by the Foldnak M2 bookletmaker with easy push-button operation, processing formats from A5 to A3.
The latest addition to the Hohner portfolio is the newly designed HSB DIGI-FS 8, capable of combining digital output along with conventionally produced litho sections. The revolutionary HSB FS8 is capable of producing A4 stitched booklets from a single sheet at a remarkable 8,000 books per hour. The stitching system adapts to variable data, when sequential books of differential thicknesses are to be produced digitally.
John Sykes, Hohner UK’s Managing Director adds: “TCS has clearly established strong and enduring relationships with a large and varied customer base. We are delighted to work with them to help build an outstanding portfolio. Today’s market is constantly evolving and the pace of that change has not been seen in the printing industry before. At the end of the day, booklet making is about delivering fast, efficient high quality results that support a printer’s bottom line. We now feel that we have developed the right solutions and look forward to expanding the UK customer base alongside TCS.”
